Once again "Power Rangers" is being re-adapted for international airing.

"Mystic Force" dub details TBD; we assume it will begin upon conclusion of the current dub series, "SPD."

Can someone tell me how well these Power Rangers releases are in Japan? Do we know how popular they are? Do we know what the Japanese Sentai fanbase thinks of this? So many questions...

It varies but in some cases the American versions are actually considered BETTER than the originals. The dub of "Lost Galaxy" was said to have higher ratings than the initial run of its counterpart, Gingaman.

Also, wouldn't some Japanese kids get confused watching Power Rangers when there's Super Sentai which shares the props, costumes & footage, but has different actors, names, plotsarsnfctshf.

If you want to confuse things even more, the dubs tend to be done by the cast of the original Sentai

Which is plain jarring in cases like Ban voicing Jack. A loud obnoxious voice suddenly becomes more leveled.

Is it true that when the Japanese dub of Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers aired in Japan, it was considered more popular than almost anything Super Sentai had put out at that time, causing them to shift their direction in to more of a "MMPR styled" scene? You know, more unmorphed fights, etc.?

Considering they're putting the money in to dub them, well enough to make back what they cost

But seriously though, yeah, there have been cases where the dubbed American series has done better than the original series.

Here's my question: Does the dubbed series give Bandai a chance to put the toys from 3-4 years ago back on the shelves?
