I was thinking it'd be nice to have a crossover episode for the next anniversary special of both shows. What do you guys think? Would you want a crossover? How would you pitch one?

I don't so much as want a crossover as I do a one off short where Gai/Gokai Silver comes across Power Rangers on TV and fanfics into existence Ranger Keys for the American only Rangers (Titanium, Spirit rangers, maybe the toy only RPM dino rangers). Think of it as a reversal of the Dino Thunder episode Lost and Found in Translation, except at the end Gokai Silver takes on a monster with what he has seen on the other show.

That's as close as I'd like to get. Assume the other franchise is fiction within each other's universe. A real crossover would just have to many problems. Language barriers, the fact that Sentai isn't commonplace outside of Japan, among a billion other problems.

While it is a neat idea, the nitty gritty crossover aspects wouldn't work. For one, at lot of series take at least a fair amount of the Sentai's aspects into its own, so maybe seeing certain situations like Samurai interacting with Shinkenger would be redudnant. And the language barrier too. Not to mention the cost of making only a few episodes and importing American show props/suits if they are going to use them. Unless Toei for the next Taisen movie flew out some rangers to Japan I think it would be possible. But even then, they're so far behind on PR releases and have skipped seasons there's no sort of promotional benefit they can get out of it.

Yes, Yes this needs to happen and it needs to involve Akibaranger, and one of the more lampshady ranger seasons, and it needs to be the most meta thing ever.

Yes, but unless it's done carefully, then it would be lampooned by both sides. I was thinking of cleaning the stain of Megaforce/Super Megaforce by having them return and fight alongside the dimension-hopping Goranger! Some of the unused footage from Gokaiger and its movie specials could be incorporated, but ultimately would require a plethora of new footage. Some old Goranger villains would also be needed and the language block of English and Japanese would have to be addressed, but you wouldn't need to dwell on it. I was also thinking that Big One from JAKQ could make a cameo appearance (And serve as a subtle nod that Aoranger and Big One share the same actor). Variblune could also appear, but I was thinking that an on-screen placeholder name should be given as the name of the ship has been spelled differently by English-speakers for years. I would also want a host of cameos, even if they're only in-suit cameos, by other Rangers:

Ex.: Momoranger teams with Titanium Ranger and J.F. Spirit Rangers

Ex.: Wild Force Lunar and J.F. Wolf Ranger fight a revived Crescent Moon Mask from Goranger Ep. 7.
