These weren't too bad. The lesson in the first episode was ham-fisted, some of the acting is still rather bad (looking at you Brody), and the Wonder Twins continue to ruin every scene they're in... but other than that they weren't bad. I'd definitely say average.

I'm really surprised, and a little disapointed that the Gold Ranger turned out to be just some random dude. The name "Levi Weston" isn't helping either. Makes me wonder who the blonde dude we know shows up at some point is.

I'm pretty sure we'll see it in the next episode (whenever it airs). The Gold Rush episode did end with the Gold Ranger getting his Zord star.

ugh, this is the worst when it comes to writing, just give some random dude a ninja star, a morpher, and joins the team the same day, it's like there's no conflict like try to fight them to gain the teacher's respect for a few episodes to join the team.

at least in dino charge they gave some good backstory on ivan before he became the gold ranger, it's like this just plain bad writing for a new character.

OK. So. I wasn't expecting the Gold Ranger to be Aiden like a lot of people predicted. I was expecting it to be some random dude.

What I really didn't expect (or want) was for it to be some random country singer named Levi Weston. Because, when you hear the words "random country singer named Levi Weston", you'd think that's a one-shot character. Or at most, an extra ranger in a series like SPD or Dino Charge.

Not a main character! Not to mention, is Levi even (supposed to be) high school age? Is he still going on tour and such if he's going to stay in Summer Cove, or vice versa? There are so many questions raised by this, and not the good kind, it's not 'intriguing', it's just confusing if you think about it for a minute!

God dangit Ninja Steel! I want to like you! I want this show to be good! And throwing random country singers named Levi Weston at us is really not helping.

I saw a theory in the Youtube comments that Levi is just Aiden with amnesia for some reason. And while I didn't really want Aiden to be the Gold Ranger (for reasons concerning late game Ninninger stuff I've heard and read about), I really feel like that would be better than some random country singer named Levi Weston.
