I agree. Look at Brawl we got Sonic and Solid Snake. We didn't get Sonic and Shadow, or Snake and Raiden. So, why would they include two characters from the same franchise?

I still kind of want Ryu, but I'm fine with only Megaman as Capcom's rep x3

That's about as left field as Phoenix Wright in Marvel VS Capcom...

I'm actually starting to think that, on the 3 places I'm discussing this, no one is talking about the Wii Fit Trainer out of denial

Yeah. I've seen KagatoTheFinalBoss's videos, and...yeah...although the people he was playing against were like "Phoenix Wright is so broken! How can a lawyer beat my demon character?!?" It's like...nooooo...he just knows how to use Phoenix Wright.
