I've been the opposite. It has some good ideas but it seems a bit all over the place at the moment so I'm finding it a bit hard to care. Doesn't help that Haijime and Sugane are the only characters getting any sort of focus either.

I do agree that it's kinda over the place right now, and the other characters haven't been used much if at all. But I'm hoping the series keeps improving, and so far I've liked it. |

We watched the second volume of Tiger & Bunny today, finishing the series, and overall, this series was incredible. The only major complaints I have with it are how rushed the final episode felt and the lack of development for Rock Bison. Aside from that, I have nothing but praises for the show because its story was well told, the characters were all likable and outside of Rock Bison, they all had some really great development (especially Blue Rose and Origami), the music fit the mood, and it did not go into the standard cliches it could have done that you find in anime and super hero stories. Not to mention the entire series was quite enjoyable from start to finish. Lunatic remains my favorite character in the show (too bad he did not get more screen time), but I have to say that my favorite between the main eight is a tie between Barnaby and Blue Rose, with surprisingly Sky High in third. Although, for the other characters, Saito just down right rocks!! This show gets a solid 9/10 from me and is one of the best series to come out of Japan in a long time and is probably in my top 10 favorite anime series. I cannot wait for the movies to come out, especially the one that hits Japan next year.

Seeing people talking about Gatchaman Crowds in here peaked my interest so I checked out the first episode, this is some damn ugly animation with bad character designs and just a general cheap feel. I really wasn't a big fan of the suits, and the CGI, either.
You see that is kinda the thing with animation for me now, as Toku has the ability to do more and more epic stuff and as Blockbusters come closer and closer to realising what could have only once been done in animation, shows like this have to try way harder to impress me. If this was live action, I'd probably like it a lot more, but this was really just your generic toku episode with no sense of any limitations removed by the medium that could provide more freedom. That brown haired chick as well just made me want to punch her in the face through the whole thing, I think that is the point, but that didn't make it any more pleasurable to watch. Then again, the whole team was incredibly forced - gay bloke! stuck up teen! smoking badass! loli-con perpetually in her underwear! chibi with a complex! I think I see what they were trying to do but it just made everyone unlikeable. I'll give it one more episode since one person has said the opening episode was weak, the other said it was the best of the lot. I'll see which category I fall into once I've seen episode two.

Watched Crowds 2, and yeah, no. I'd rather tear my fingernails off and gouge my eyes out with them than sit through another minute with Hajime. She is quite possibly the worst character of all time. We're done, Crowds.

Also, peaked by this thread, was YuGiOhs new show ZeXal, trying to find subs of this was a bitch and in the end the best I could find that was actually seeded looked horribly upscaled but oh well from the looks of the animation I'm not missing much.
The D-Gazer is a cool idea and a bad idea in the same breath, as it both makes the matches more thrilling and yet much more generic. Still that doesn't stop the YuGiOh overly dramatic duels from being any less stupid and ridiculous. Really though what let the duel down, at least in this opening episode, is the way they had to keep shouting the basic rules of duelling at one another. Mass market, more money etc but come on guys, how many people are there really left on the planet who are watching this and don't know at least the very basics of how this works? I'll give it a few more episodes though, as it'd clear these episodes are just establishing everything for those two people in the audience who don't know what YuGiOh is and see what the actual plot turns out to be.

I'm sorry. If there are two Yu-Gi-Oh! series you should NOT watch, it is ZeXaL and GX. Just watch Duel Monsters and if you need to, the first 64 episodes to 5Ds. Oh, but good luck on finding fansubs, as 4Kids of **** pretty much made sure those would not exist.
