Oh Martha, I loved her. Never much cared for Donna but Martha was great. Her cameos in Torchwood made it all the more bearable I suppose

The Oswalds...? Oh, how curious.
America is getting all the good stuff at the moment (SDCC, and this...) Kind of makes you wonder if Moff/the producers have given up on the british market... |

Looks good. If I learnt anything last year though, it's that tv on Xmas day just doesn't work with all the family round. Can only hear every fifth word (and I refuse to sit in my room and be a loner =p)
I could be wrong, but isn't the series funded mainly by BBCA now days? Which if it is it'd make sense to market it more in America. Try and get as many viewers as possible, make it worth the investment. I'm also unaware of how BBCA works for America, but we pay the tv license so it's sort of paid for even if nobody watches it, In a kind of roundabout way =p |

I just find it interesting that they've only really given us cut versions oif the trailers recently and the US seem to get so much more. I'm sure the part-funding deal demands it (you could even comment about attention spans and differing expectations from networks and so on I suppose), but I still don't think it's totally "right". Especially in an age when the 50th Anniversary was simultaneously broadcast to 90+ countries. Sometimes I really hate the backstage politics of Doctor Who.. but somehow, despite all that lark, they manage to produce a show I love. Also, I'm finding it very hard to wait the six days we have left! |
