To bad about the dead eyes. Looks good otherwise, although I was expecting the silver to be more shiny.

The Manga Ultraman looks good, but a bit more rounded than I would have liked, when you look at the manga the suit has very sharp defined edges but here things like his shoulders blend into a more organic shape.

Overall though I'm still looking forward to this guy, especially as the only alternative is like 12,000 yen.

Probably the absence of better lighting is decisive, this was one of the first images of the figure:

Apparently the eyes were painted with a less noticeable color…

Yeah the eyes look awful, completely dead. Is that even how they look in the manga?

Why not use a translucent blue, like they did with the crystal-thing yon the chest?

In the colored drawings from the manga his eyes look like a couple of spotlights:

I agree, they had to elaborate their eyes just like in the Ultra-Act figures, using a translucent material and thus obtain a better appearance.

I hope that in own hands the figure look better, this one deserves at least well painted eyes like in the prototype.

It does bug me that the eyes on the Manga Ultraman figure are not painted. At least the rest of the body looks pretty good though.

Finally picked up Astra and a second Taro. I'll be pretty much done when I find Zoffy although there are still a couple of Showa Era Ultras (80, Joe, Mother and Yullian) I need to be complete.
