Agreed. With this kind of Setup, We the audience need to see an example of the Stakes the series is aiming for. Otherwise we have another Wizard.

Rider shows usually debut the first Sunday of September. According to Wikipedia, US Labor Day(which I assume is the one you're referring to) is the first Monday of September, which almost always is the day after the first Sunday.

So it's just a coincidence stemming from first Sunday/Monday.
