They have an Agito and Kiva poster? Yeah it's really good one of my favorites, and the movie is one of the better ones too.

Watched the Accel movie with my siblings. God, Ryu just loves to punch things..... We're gonna hit up the Eternal movie before we head to OOO. They're so hyped to see anything KR-related, it's really enjoyable.
While I watch all the Neo-Heisei shows & movies in order with my siblings I watch the Heisei stuff on my own & I'm conflicted on what to do next. I saw Kuuga first & then Decade, so I'm wondering where to start now with 8 seasons to choose from. What are some thoughts & feelings you guys got from these 8 seasons? Maybe I can get a better idea of which to pickup. |

Some other ones that you'd probably have some fun watching would be 555, Hibiki, Kabuto, and Den-O. If you're willing to dip into Showa, I think it would be unanimous to say that you should definitely watch Black. And if you want to try out the movies from the 90s, watch J. It's the best out of the three IMO.

I usually advocate just watching them all in order. You really get to see the way the franchise evolves. Also, it means you get to watch Agito next and Agito is freaking awesome.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In my opinion, watch Agito next. It is by far the best Kamen Rider season ever in my opinion and is a very enjoyable ride. I've gushed about it millions of times so to not repeat myself again, just search the topic and you'll find my posts. Point is, phenomenal series that is worth a watch and is as I said, the best. Now if I was to be biast and just say "Watch this because it's my favorite," I'd say watch Ryuki. Some other ones that you'd probably have some fun watching would be 555, Hibiki, Kabuto, and Den-O. It's the best out of the three IMO. As far as Showa it's an era I'm obviously hesitant about getting into. I cringe just listening to older things like MMPR due to their age & I hate to judge them based on just that. But it's kinda hard not to, you know? It's not like when you try something new like a movie or game that comes out next year. Older things have to compete with us focusing on constant improvement & growth, especially in media. I don't think Black is a good start for Showa, despite it being another unanimously adored series. Only because I don't want my understanding of Showa to be held up to Black's standards. If I wanna watch 1971 KR then it'll pale in comparison to Black, I'm afraid. If anything, I'd most likely start there if I choose to dabble in Showa, but only after watching the 10 Heiseis. Thanks guys! Big help. Last edited by H3N51N; 10-02-2014 at 07:04 PM.. Reason: typo |

Plus, the martial arts action is more brutal, visceral, and bone-crushing in the old shows. Showa Rider is surprisingly baller. Last edited by Kamen Rider Lucha; 10-02-2014 at 07:32 PM.. |

A lot of Showa KR holds up better than early-Heisei KR. Because the Showa series were shot on film instead of low-res video, they tend to look more expensive and less soap-opera-y. And since Showa series rely less on CGI, there's less distracting, dated visual nonsense going on.
