MORPHIN MADNESS UPDATE!

We have been alerted to the fact that someone managed to hack the voting system, affecting some of the results in Morphin Madness. Rest assured that we are dedicated to ensuring this is a fun and fair competition. The Power Rangers wouldn’t have it any other way!

We have successfully tracked down the fake voting mechanism and have carefully removed the extra votes and restored the rankings to reflect their true values.

I just want to say again, I'm utterly disgusted that Bandai would smack the face of the entire fandom over the ravings of one, ludicrous, prick. Yup that's right. JDF is a prick. He's an egotistical, self-centered, money whoring, prick. I've seen the shady side of him behind the scenes at conventions over the years but this is certainly the first time I've ever seen him let his melodrama be fully on display. What's most disturbing is the supposed "diehards" who absolutely love the tantrum he's thrown.

I for one have no faith in this company any longer. In recent days I'v had accusations thrown at me that I had somehow rigged the votes, that I was cheating, that I was some evil genius ruining "Tommy's legacy", that my friends and I were haters. I had nothing but the intention of getting some rangers keys made that otherwise will never exist in the BOA toyline. That's it. But because fictional characters that this man once played started losing an internet competition with literally no bearing at all on him or his career, now that will never happen. If you want to point fingers then be my guest. Point them at him. This competition was fine until he began using bribery, scare tactics, and actively informed people on how to cheat the system for him to win. His punishment? Positive reinforcement! I hope every one's happy with their "Legend of JDF" key set.

I've been called a hater so many times in the last week it's ridiculous. All I ever wanted was to help represent the fans who've been shut out by the message that Tommy is the only & greatest thing ever. And yet my rallying cry for support has been deemed in several circles as "rigging" the competition. Yet when an actor with influence does the exact same thing, albeit in FAR less ethical ways. The entire competition goes funhouse mirror in his favor.

So to reiterate. I'm pissed. Lot's of people are pissed. A huge chunk of this fandom has now been wronged over this. People are up in arms that their well intentioned drive to make something positive happen for fans, has been squashed by an egomaniac. Bandai even went so far as to see that they changed the numbers to reflect the "true" values of the votes. My ass. The numbers are lower for the losing rangers than they were before the voting started going all topsy turvy. They just want to ensure their cash cow is happy. And that's it, they've written off fans entirely.

What this has proven is that at the end of the day, you aren't allowed to be a Power Rangers fan if you don't like Tommy.
