This. I can't really get excited about a game I right now have absolutely no guarantee of ever playing.

I find it hard not to get hyped, it's a Pokemon fighting game for Arceus sake! That's something i've always wanted! Doesn't help that Gardevoirs on the roster.

I don't think you quite understand. Pokken is current a physical arcade game only, with no word on Wii U release at all.
It's hard to feel the hype when the only option for people like us to play is currently to fly to Japan, as they're being noticeably silent concerning a home port.

Besides i think the intial trailer was also shown to western audiences so i think were getting it a SOME point, we just don't know when.

HOLY MOTHER OF GODOKA!!!
![]() Story: Okay, so I was in granite cave looking for a Makuhita for breeding when suddenly this beautiful bastard came out of nowhere. I swear Godoka, it appeared when my Dexnav level was at 46.

So what do you guys consider as a guideline for a good Mega Evolution design?
I think a good Mega Evolution usually builds on top of the existing design. Stuff like Mega Rayquaza and the the ones of the starters I think are ones that do it well. |

I feel Mega evolutions are best when they look like an advancement of the existing character, not just looking like they hijacked someone's personal interpretation of the Pokemon off DA and called it their own.
This is why I feel Pokemon like Mega Manectric, Mega Rayquaza, and Mega Scizor fail. They feel rather cheap, putting a giant halt to their general design in favor of something different entirely, usually too over the top. The big issue is that it's very much a case by case situation, with some Mega evos looking gawd awful despite following their general design aesthetics, while some looking great despite departing from their general look. I think the only thing I can think of for a "Good" Mega evo guideline is to not focus on one aspect of the Pokemon and go crazy with it (Like Alakazam's mustache or Manetric's spiked fur).
