I agree with this immensely, i can't really take my starter out of my team i just have a huge attachement to them.

Guess I've been hanging around people who take Pokemon too seriously.
I've had to stop battling because everyone was always using the typical Smogon OU bullshit that my UU and NU choices stood no chance against.

I try to take Pokemon seriously after i beat the game.
But when i'm playing through the main story i play however i want.

I take my Pokemon seriously post game.
The difference is that I'm not taking it too seriously. I'm still training up stuff like Fearow over Talonflame, or Gourgeist over Mega Gengar

I have plenty of Pokemon to use, but I was thinking about training up some new guys, too.

Fearow and Gourgeist are amazing Pokémon and infinitely better than Stealth Rocks and Psyshock-er I mean Talonflame and Mega Gengar.

I love the Ghost/Grass types they introduced. I can't get enough of them.
I just wish Gourgeist was as useable as Trevenant, who's Sitrus Berry+Harvest+Horn Leech makes him an annoying wall
