Also, why didn't they make Ampharos look as cute and funny (And mildly derp) like this when he was first made?

And not lame and derpy while trying to look like his debut?

Why didn't it keep the Wool? It looks too much like a kangaroo and nothing like a sheep.

And Mega Amphy doesn't count,

I don't like how it doesn't have any wool, either. It always bugged me. I don't see any "Sheep" in it's design without it.

It was just a weird trend for the evolution line to lose wool as it evolved.

I know it lost wool, but the problem is that, but by lacking the wool entirely, it makes Ampharos stick out too much. It just loses the distinction of being a sheep.

They also based Ampharos on a lighthouse and it could partially be based on some type of Dragon due to it's Japanese name and Mega Evolution. It not having wool doesn't ruin anything about it being a sheep since sheep can be sheared of their wool.

Heck it could just be a thing about it growing older and losing it's hair like most humans do.

Except sheep don't bald like that. Unless there are special occasions.
The entire line is based on light, and I'm sure they could've pulled off a design that made it not stand out from it's entire family. It's basically the black sheep but putting the light design first and ditching everything else in favor of it.
