Okay, first things first: gummie commercials totally don't count.
![]() Yeah, i liked this one. I'm definitely getting a strong early Heisei vibe from the way the story is structured and I am loving it. It almost feels like I'm watching Ryuki again. So far the show is totally living up to its "no more two-act structure" promise and it is really working for me. I'm still having some trouble accepting the fruit, though. |

While I think Akira's argument is very flawed, I at least see why she would try that approach when she thinks it's just a game that Kuota isn't directly participating in (in that she doesn't know Kouta's getting in the ring himself). Her view is Kouta's playing Pokemon and he's getting paid for it. That is not a real job.
Again, I think Akira's approach is wrong. I just understand her line of thinking. I hope she tries something else next time because this argument just isn't very good. Quote:
His sister's reasoning was insanely idiotic, and thus has become my least favourite character. Her deffinition of a job is incredibly dumb and vague. Technically he is helping strangers. He's providing entertainment for all the people who watch him. Sure, we know it's not what Kamen Rider powers are for, but how can she know that?
I mean hell, I don't think her acting in this show helped anyone who was hungry, but I bet she still got paid. Who wrote that shit? And I notice she doesn't work, she just farts around the kitchen all day while he fights monsters. Self-entitled idiot.

I really liked this episode. Kouta's sister's spiel about what a job is caused me to ponder whether I agreed with that or not, but aside from that, I like the realistic angle that they're going for. Oh, and Baron's last line... that can't be good. |

So if you watch through a playlist and know exactly where to direct me... why can't you just do that?
I have done that. Even checked playlists. Can't find full episodes beyond just somebody who uploaded episode 1 yesterday.

I disagreed with her reasoning, but it also reminded me of how in real life there can be people with conflicting or judgmental opinions who may not necessarily be correct. Like teachers or friends who give bad advice based on assumptions. It's definitely realistic in that sense and I hope they explore it further.

Pretty good episode. Didn't get to see enough of Baron fighting but hopefully that will change. Also nice to see them keep building the world of Gaim with the school and corporate interests.
Also, I agree the conversation is handled badly but I can understand why Akira won't take Kota's money: he's essentially gambling with his seeds, cash and quite possibly his life. Anytime someone gambles like that, eventually they lose. Its reasonable that Akira doesn't want her brother to go down that road. |
