Does the SX150 have manual white balance and focus adjust? That was the main problem I had with my camera, it had three white balance settings, and none of them was really right for my lights, so stuff was always off color and I couldn't ever get the focal point right.

Damn, you guys make me want to buy a better camera. Sometimes I think I can do okay with my iPhone, but then I see stuff like the last couple of pages and I'm blown away by the sharpness and quality of the pictures.

While I do need to get a new camera since mine is falling apart, I still will not be going all out like some of these guys do. I would rather just drop $150 for a simple point and shoot than spend $400 on something fancy because I would rather spend that other $250 on new Figuarts.

I just looked up the two cameras mentioned on the previous page and both are under $200, especially if you're willing to go used. So of course, now I'm tempted to look into one of them.

Actually, now that I think about it, what I should do is talk to my dad about borrowing his a few times a month and just taking a boat load of pics when I do, because he does have a several hundred dollar semi-pro camera. He could even help me figure out what settings work best for what I'm doing, though he's always been an outdoors type photographer.

It does have manual focus and mostly manual settings, but there are only about 8 white balance settings. I'd like to have full manual control, but I'd have to get a more expensive camera!

I haven't had any problems at all with mine yet.

I was lucky to get my dad old's Canon Rebel when he upgraded. I always use manual settings when I photograph because I find the programed ones are useless for light boxes. I just mess around with the shutter speed and exposure settings until I'm happy. My pictures aren't spectacular, but compared to what I was taking 2 years ago it's night and day...
