Just as they are still more likels to pick up a book thats numbered #01 then one thats numbered #306.

Death of Wolverine is the best example. Wolverine was still the best selling X-Book of the last year but not nearly as successful the Death of Wolverine Mini. All four of those books are now in the top 10 best selling books of 2014.

Kinda, sorta yes. As far as I understood it all Universes will be destroysed and form the new Battleworld and this will be the new MarvelUniverse going forward. So we will have a melting pot from different Universes and Stories making up this new Universe where the coming stories are set.

What exactly this means for the future we still dont know. We dont know how the current slate of ongoings is handled, how exactly the continuity will be handled and most importantly dont know how the characters will be resturctured if they get restructured at all.
