I think it's just me but do the new Turtles seem...totally unlikable? the 2012 cartoon has a amazing supporting cast and a fleshed out Foot clan that can do both humor and horror. Splinter and April are well written too but as we all know it's the Turtles' show. But man alive Raph's the only one with his head on straight with Leo being a whiner that worships a psycho version of Kirk, Mike being as childish as SpongeBob and driving April away with an insensitive remark about her mutated father and Don, although caring is WAY too into April for his own good. Plus although I'm happy to have Rob back overall I miss the 2003 versions and wish that was continued instead. |

Another superhero show that did its source material justice but ended far too soon. Perhaps Spider-Man should be retired after the third "Amazing" so misfires like Superior and the Ultimate cartoon never happen again.

I'm probably the only person but, I'm starting to get kinda annoyed by hearing people praise Spectacular Spiderman all the time…
and before anyone asks, yes I did see the show. It was okay, but I never really liked the art style. I think I'm more so annoyed by the fans though, cause it's always the same story everywhere I go. Last edited by Kiryu; 11-10-2013 at 10:12 AM.. |

Honestly, I think Spider-Man Unlimited is a bit underrated. It's not my favorite Spider-Man cartoon, (I'm mainstream and chose The Spectacular Spider-Man for that position,) but it had a lot of neat ideas and storylines that I really wanted to see completed. Spectacular ended far too early, too, but it ended on a slightly more conclusive note, with only one major plot thread left dangling.
All of this talk about Spider-Man cartoons is inspiring me to create Spider-Man: Resolutions—a comic-book limited series/vignette film that resolves all of these pesky unresolved Spider-Man stories. |

If say some of the Turtle's personality problems come from being heavily sheltered for 15 years. Think about it, in media And IRL, sheltered people tend to act a bit off. They may be too trusting or naive, too rude and aggressive, or too clingy and ready to latch on to anything that's new and different.
I also heard that Laird and the creator of Usagi Yojimbo had a real nasty fall out so there'll be no more crossovers between the two franchises. I just knew that when Viacom brought out the Turtles they would die out while SpongeBob gets to live on. It's depressing that something I grew up loving is now being dictated by snot nosed brats who don't care for action and the creators that allow this to happen. I just want the Turtles to be heroes again. I lost both the heroes of DC and Marvel to the evils of synergy and fickle mindedness. I can't lose TMNT too. ![]() |

Have I ever mentioned that I dislike, and on somedays hate, Spongebob Squarepants? Because I do. Sadly, as long as people continue to watch it, it's not going to end.

I have high hopes for Steven Universe and Adventure Time might see a sixth if S5 goes well enough. We really need to make sure kids like more than an overrated dimbulb so we can get good cartoons again. |

That crappile should have ended years ago. YEARS AGO! I hate to be Tokunation's Tekkaman Blade but children need something better than a yellow dolt that lives under the sea in a pineapple.

We really need to make sure kids like more than an overrated dimbulb so we can get good cartoons again. Longevity grows stale and tasteless unless you can really shake it up. It's why Dr. Who, Kamen Rider and Super Sentai/Power Rangers work so well even after all these years because of a constantly changing status quo through Regenerations and the slightly confusing "Each Rider/Ranger/Sentai season is a new continuity except when it's not" thing. Without enough change, you begin to just become annoying. Spongebob used to be funny. Then the movie happened... The Simpsons used to be funny. Then Family Guy happened... |
