Bob's Burgers outdoes every episode of McFarlane's crap with just it's pilot alone. It does everything Family Guy tried to do without having to cut away or dip into shock gags.
And why do you dislike Regular Show and Gumball? It's the same kind of obtuse humor as Ren and Stimpy or Cow and Chicken except it can't have as many penis innuendo jokes. Trying to praise Cow and Chicken (Which I do know you said you didn't get) when Gumball is basically that with more current humor seems hypocritical and just screaming "I don't like change." ![]() |

And admitting you have a problem is the first step to change.

Gumball is the only show that makes me laugh out loud.

FOUR new episodes of The Legend of Korra are up tonight; two at the usual airdate and then the season finale is being made available online early.
http://www.hypable.com/2013/11/15/th...nline-tonight/ Could Nick be dumping the show? I know the ratings took a dive this year. |

I can appreciate what Vortexx is doing. Because of it, my best friend is able to keep up with half of the things I talk about without me having to explain a few things.
The reason that I think that we're getting so many comedy shows is because of the advent of the Internet. For the most part, the visual media on the Internet is oriented towards comedy, especially videos. Since more and more kids are logging in instead of tuning in, I would think that studios are trying to evoke the Internet with their programs. The cost: less action and adventure. Studios, sadly, are in the business for the money. The money flows towards goofy comedy, so they begin to produce goofy comedy. It's sad, but it will (hopefully) come to pass. |

I know my younger self would be having a fit right now. If these we're the selection of cartoons. That he had to watch after school and during summer breaks.
Saturday mornings are a straight joke now. I remember waking up at 6 a.m. and watching cartoons clear to 12 noon. Every station had them on too, NBC, ABC, CBS, your local T.V. broadcasters. Straight action/adventure themed cartoons. None of this goofy sh*t. ![]() Are they trying to turn our children into idiots now? When we use to watch He-Man or G.I. Joe. We wanted to be heroes like those guys. Some of us grew-up and took jobs where we can help people because of that. So what message is these goofy cartoons sending to our children now? This why I buy DVD's of all of the past great cartoons. So that my boys can see what real cartoons were like. Then again kids these days must be dumb if Zord Builder and BH 2014 passes as "acceptable ideas" Our only hope is to support good shows like Adventure Time, Ben 10 Omniverse (despite what our resident Candi fanboy says) and one show I'm really loving so far Steven Universe. |

Zord Builder's an OK idea. It's not my favorite Power Ranger thing but I believe we can do better in the future if we're willing to really support the show.
I don't mean to be snippy' it's just that we shouldn't be using the Internet to shape what our kids watch all the time. I hope that soon we'll be getting actions show back. At least that's what I hope will happen. |

I miss action cartoons, but this generation of kids has found their action heroes in other sources, be it games, movies, etc.
And honestly if the kids are enjoying all those comedy shows and having a childhood as fun as the one we had, then everything is ok. All generations tend to think that new things are worse, while they are simply different. |
