You know, I've been thinking, and sorry for the double post. With generation six coming to a close, I've honestly been looking back and feeling somewhat sentimental about many of the team members I've caught, bread, raised and trained so now I'm curious. Any of you guys have creatures from Kalos you love to death? Or maybe you came across something that due to the change in mechanics was able to fair you much better than in a past generation? GO ON GUYS! SPILL!
I'll start I guess with a few of my own. Off the top of my head I have roughly three mvps that I will continue to use in Gen 7 when poke bank comes around. My Togekiss Beelzepoof, my Infernape Baron and (can't believe I'm saying this) my Slowbro MermaidMan who I love to death. Good god! I had my doubts slowbro but you've redeemed yourself by being so good at just sitting there taking hits and dealing damage. Slow and steady wins the race was never truer. As far as megas go, I have to give credit to my Salamence Anvira which helped me clear 5 of the 8 gym leaders at an anime con's pokemon league (I lost to Fairy, Dragon and Electric) but I always fall back to my very first mega, Mega Absol. I feel a very personal attachment to Absol as my sister gave me one named Abby back during my very first play through of Pokemon Y and although she was poorly trained, her moves barely passable, and IVs that were complete crap from a competitive sense, I still love Abby and her descendant Fang has been a staple of my team to this day. ... good god I sound like a basket case don't I? ![]() Last edited by guncannon109; 11-11-2016 at 10:57 PM.. |

Talonflame, not for Smogonbird shenanigans but as my go-to Fly/Egg Hatcher. Trevanent also pleased me, and so has Doublade.
And Chesnaught has such Utility. Super Fang, Seed Bomb, Drain Punch and an Elemental Punch with Assault Vest. And speaking of AV, Mamoswine is beautiful~ I hope Mr. Mime gets Draining Kiss next gen. |

I've been looking for a good set for the big cuddly... what the hell kinda of animal is Chespin supposed to be anyhow? ![]() |

This episode was very boring to me. I kinda wish we got something with Darkrai or Cresselia.
As for favorite from past Gen Aegislash was one of the coolest pokemon that I like. Garchomp , Darkrai, my 2 favorites that I love from Gen 4. As for Megas Salamence and Gardevoir were the ones I use the most the dragon won me so many wifi battles. Also I would love to see a pokemon that's like an omega like we have Arceus the alpha pokemon. Last I just want to see Slaking with a new ability already I mean come on trollfreak. They can give Mewtwo two mega forms but can't give Slaking a new ability? |

If we're talking about sentimentals, all my Milotics. My Gen 3 Milotic, from my mother, named simply "Milotic" because...Because, to Rarity and Nurigami, all the way to my ORAS Milotic, SweetieBelle.
When it comes to Pokemon, it's my Milotic squad that makes me smile to most~ When it comes to Gen 6 in specific, it's my dog, Furfrou, that became the MVP. Competitively, yeah, it's not that good. But in game, he was basically unstoppable. Early game headbutts picked up the slack when someone else in my team was lacking, to the later game, where his damage dropped off, but his fur coat ability made him an ideal wall. I really love him~ Oh, and I can't forget my Volcarona, Mothra, or my shiny Volcarona, Mothra Leo~! In Gen 6, I trained so many Pokemon, not for competitive reasons, but just because I could make esoteric and silly teams to battle with friends, including others on this board, so I came to appreciate a lot of Pokemon I used to not really care about. And I'm glad. The time spent breeding and grinding, while it was a chore, really made me come to appreciate a good hundred Pokemon I would've never noticed before. I can't wait to do it in Sun~

Super Fang is for the same reason Sejun Park put it on his legendary Pachirisu (break walls), Drain Punch for STAB Sustain, and you can do whatever EV spread you want. |
