NY has bigger problems than that. I can live with paying for orders up front for the most part, but their service is as bad as ever.
I requested the Reboot Omegamon kit from them and a few days later they sent me an email saying that they will "look for it" which is really dumb since they ask for a link in the request form. Anyway, I figured I'd go check the site out and see if anything new was up and the kit was already there and was sold out. Literally less than 2 minutes after they sent me that email. Then they had the gall to email me another 2 days later with the link to the sold out item. |

Is there a month this is officially starting on, or has it already started? I don't mind paying off most of my POs since they are single items, but I'd really prefer not to pay for the Hulkbuster now.

I can't complain. This actually works out better for me because it means I have to have the money up front to preorder the item instead of trying to scramble to pay it off later when it is coming out, especially if it ends up being something that comes out during the summer time.

I'll admit it sucks to see it go, but I don't really mind a whole lot. As somebody who only rarely gets web exclusives, and only buys one or two at a time, it doesn't affect me as much as it would others. So shame to see it go but I'll live.

I don't really blame NY, the problem is that now they want to charge me for three items and give me a week to do so. It has a reason why I picked the "Pay Later"-option, because I can't pay for all of them at the same time.
If they let me cancel two of them and let me pay the one I can actually pay I'm fine. And from now on I won't have this problem anymore since they'll most likely don't offer this option anymore. But if they expect me to pay everything and close my account I'll raise hell. |

I'm not thrilled about this at all, though apparently my frustration needs to be aimed at Bandai.
I have orders of at least 22000 yen (typically more) through January. I was barely going to pay for this month's order, and though I have some extra money coming this month thanks to a relatively light AmiAmi order, I won't have the cash available to pay off November & December, let alone all of it by next week. Hell, even if there was a buffer of an extra month offered, I couldn't swing it in September because I'm already loaded then (Gunbuster, Tridoron, others). I do wonder how many people have to cancel their orders due to this change, and by extension how much it'll effect available stock on the secondary market. I won't be thrilled if Knuckle jumps up in price If they actually tried closing people's accounts over canceled orders, then I would become angry with them too & at that point I imagine a bunch of others would too. They'd be stupid to shoot themselves in the foot like that. Last edited by Lbsammills51; 08-07-2015 at 11:01 AM.. |

One thing that I've just noticed that's got me curious.
The order deadline for Knuckle on the Tamashii webshop site is the 20th August. Nippon Yasan are asking for money a week before that. Despite their email specifically mentioning November and December products, they haven't asked me to pay for Vegeta yet. Looking at the webshop site again, he doesn't have a deadline yet. I'm wondering if this means that it isn't strictly pay up front, but more "you have to pay before Bandai's deadline now". It would explain why I haven't been charged for Vegeta, as well as why the "pay later" option was there when I preordered Omegamon (despite there being rumblings that had disappeared when I ordered it). I mean, I could be WAY off base here but it certainly makes the inconsistencies in N-Y email a bit clearer if true.
