Battle Tree to me at least sounds like it'll be THE challenge of the game. If anything just because it brings Cynthia back. A.K.A. the hardest champion/trainer ever in the games.

The special trainers are every 10 matches, afterwards they can be used to team up with in the Multi-Battles, especially useful if you're a lonely loser without a life or friends...

Anyway, got a perfect Golissopod through breeding, working on a Marowak... Got a shiny and it's stats were terrible... Oh, and Imposter Ditto was obtained as well, so that's cool. Should be useful for going up the Tree to grind BP before I get a proper stable going.

I've been doing some Battle Tree, just to get enough BP for a Destiny's Knot. I've had a bit of success in the basic Multi Battle format with a team of Buzzwole and Celesteela. Got 19 battles in before the fact that they weren't fully ev trained cost me a match (botching what should have been easy ohkos). So I went and trained up Celesteela (the Buzzwole is one I got from GTS and already came with its attack evs maxed out for some reason). I only got ten battles in after that before taking a break and going to sleep, but hopefully I can get farther this time. Then again, I guess I only need to win 9 more battles for the knot.

Anyway.

I'm pleased by how well these two perform, as they are my favorite UBs and some of my favorite Gen 7 Pokemon overall. (though bronzong comes close to just fucking up my life)

Magearna's a GREAT mon, has a great typing for defence, is pretty bulky, has high special attack and an ability so good that it got banned in Doubles OU
