Both the Black and RX renewals were standard SHF releases.

Nope, black was just a renewal with new molded parts, he wasn't part of the SS line

Nope, Renewal. SS started with Kabuto.

Also, my Hibiki is slightly taller than a normal Figuart. Is that just Hibiki or is SS in a slightly altered scale?

I think it may be the scale. Kuuga seems to be a hair taller than most of my other SHFs.

Kuuga and Agito are bigger too, but only by a hair or two so it isn't very noticable.
