Went back to breeding in Y since I got bored of losing at the Battle Tree.

Finally got that shiny Mareep I've been aiming at since August or so. Yay. First shiny since around October actually...woo.

That's okay. I started the Sun and Moon games a day or so after Christmas myself. I seriously love my Rowlett and Litten.  Did manage to get Muchlax via Mystery Gift as well as transferring Greninja from the demo on both of them shortly afterwards though. I even have Greninja as part of my Sun team and Muchlax, who is now a Snorlax, as part of my Moon team. For Sun, I'm already up to readying myself in facing off against the Elite Four. As for Moon, I'm up to third confrontation against Guzma along with my first confrontation against Lusamine.

I'm starting to regret buying Sun. The main game was fun and all, but short, and the postgame is just not very good. I swear, this happens every generation...

The post game for this series this decade has pretty much only been built on the idea that you'll want to battle online with your team.

Is it so wrong to want something more? At least make the main game more substantial if you aren't going to have a big postgame. I really need to just stick to the Mystery Dungeon games, I like those a lot more.

It's not wrong. The only reason they don't do something like the Battle frontier again is that they fear kids won't have the attention span to finish something that difficult, which isn't entirely a wrong assumption as that's exactly what happened to me when I first played Emerald.

There's really nothing we can do about that.

To be fair Mystery Dungeon hardly ever had a good post game either. Just a better main game.

Personally I want to see a post game like Diamond and Pearls again, a mini region off to the corner of the map, I thought that was neat.
