I bought a few things from a semi-local guy recently. He's moving and didn't want to take his entire collection with him.
I tried to write up a funny story about it, because this stuff was pretty dusty and I'm allergic enough to dust that in that kind of quantity I start to freak out a bit. http://www.twitlonger.com/show/n_1rkp55b But now that I've cleaned the stuff off, I have pics! DST Voyage Home Kirk and Spock 2 pack. ![]() The DST figures are big, terribly unposeable, despite the articulation, but usually have lots of accessories and decent sculpts. Far better than the old playmates toys anyway. I always wanted this set, just not for the prices it normally sells for . Used with no accessories, $6 for the pair? okay. Playmates 2009 JJ Enterprise ![]() Again, the DST ships are so much better than the Playmates ones, but DST doesn't have the movie license, and this one is decently detailed, has lights and sound, which work, and I got it for $12. And 10 minutes or so of cleaning. This thing, on the other hand, was complete and total bitch to clean. I spent probably 40 minutes or more with a wet toothbrush lightly scrubbing the entire thing multiple times to get into all the little sculpted crevasses and detailing to get the dust that had been caked on over the years, to the point where it was even sticky in some places. Eesh, it was not a fun experience. But it looks pretty darn swell now. In a sick, disturbing kind of way. ![]() |

This isn't Toku related at all, but I'm going to post it anyways just for fun. I rarely order food products online unless they're minor things thrown into a larger order. I was worried because I hadn't seen the new flavors in stores yet. I ended up just buying from their website.

Ordered most of this stuff in May, but it showed up in June. Finally found a Robo Knight too.

Haha, yeah, that surprised me too. They sell sample packs and stuff from their website. Free shipping too.

It is very nice. I had been eying it for awhile and finally bit the bullet. I kinda wanted the Gekitouja in one box, to go with my other Super Sentai Robos, but it was cheaper to buy them separately. Also I had a problem with Geki Cheetah. It wouldn't lock into place on Geki Tiger right. Turns out one of the clips in the butt (that sounds dirty) wasn't lined up right and I had to take the whole thing apart and put it back together right. Since I did that it works fine.
I already had Rin Lion and Rin Chameleon, as I got them for a good deal. Been eying Geki Bat too, but that seems to go for a bit and I was kinda hoping I'd run across one for a deal at some point. Last edited by Rama; 06-11-2013 at 04:25 PM.. |
