Well, good for them, but I honestly don't think there's enough of them out there that got it for the figure as opposed to the couch. Then again I don't know how popular he is over in Japan.

It's not that they WON'T release B-Fighter. They CAN'T release B-Fighter due to licensing. They've said so already.

Kinnikuman being a viable release also depends on if they can get the OK from whatever company holds the license.

See, this is what I don't understand though. They can release every thing else EXCEPT Rider web exclusives (and Gaim) and Metal Heroes. Why? What makes them so special? If they can release Sentai items, be it in store or web exclusives, why can they not sell Rider exclusives and any Metal Hero? They are all from Toei.

Because they can't. It's a legal rights issue as has been stated many many times before. They simply cannot secure the rights to release those figures here. Whatever circumstance creates that situation it has nothing do with them just not wanting to release. They can't. You're acting like it's a conscious choice, it isn't.

Kinnikuman is a retail release if I'm not mistaken? From what I can remember that Bluefin can release exclusives if they are strategic properties. Godzilla, Sailor Moon, DBZ, Megaman and Digimon are consider to be strategic properties for Bluefin. If the license holder for Kinnikuman said it's go to go for Bluefin then Kinnikuman won't be a issue.

It's hard to be excited for iron man figures these days, since it seems like everyone and their mother has their own take on the character.

I understand it is about licensing, but I just don't understand why one obscure series that has never been released in the US at all is okay while another series, which had a US adaptation, is not.

I'm pretty sure it's up to Bandai Japan Tamashii Nations on what Bluefin can and can't release here in the US. Kamen Rider and Ultraman are lucky to get figures release here retail.
