I'm feeling like I should give this show another chance.

Gundam wing episodes 25-30
Episode 25 had some shit go down and started off this half with a bang. We find out that Wing Gundam causes the pilot to go nuts if they have a flaw in thier mental thinking leading to Heero destroying shit in the Moon base.... with a slightly more dickish attitude then normal. Along with katra and Heero going back to Earth. Although I am sad that the Mercrius self destructed. Overall, good episode, not a complete gamechanger but still enjoyable. Episodes 26 and 27 were clip shows. And we finally have names for the Gundams, Death scythe, Sandrock, Shao Long, and Heavy Arms I also am interested in that new Mobile Suit at the end of episode 27 Epsiodes 28 through 30 changed my opinions on some characters, although that might be because I haven't seen Gundam Wing in a while before this marathon. I no longer hate Relina, her political pacifism and annoying qualities have subsided or at least aren't in these set of episodes. I can't believe I'm saying this but I'm rooting for Trieze, you know, the guy I thought was the big bad of the series and a total dick is actually someone I'm rooting for now. It seems Gundam Wing is introducing bigger assholes and makes you want to root for the previous villains. I was rooting for Zechs once Oz came into power and now that the Romafelier split has occurred, I am also rooting for Trieze. And my new most hated character is this Dorthy bitch. Seriously, what the fuck is up with her eyebrows? Relina takes Dorthy's snarky comments to her face and I can't believe Dorthy would do that in RELINA'S KINGDOM. If I was Relina, I'd kick that bitch out the second that sarcasm came out of her mouth hole. And Dorthy seems like she is going to fuck over the Gundam pilots somehow. I'm still waiting to learn about what the other 3 Gundam pilots and Zechs are up to. I also saw the trailer for the Gundam Wing movie on the DVD I was watching and HOLY SHIT THAT MOVIE LOOKS AMAZING. The Gundams' detail quality looks as good as the opening, which makes me excited to watch the movie once I'm done with the series. |

I finally got around to finish rewatching the recent JoJo anime, I had stopped for a little while since I got All Star Battle in the mail before finishing it. Anyway, here my thought on the anime as a whole.
Part 1, Phantom Blood, is a little weak compared to some of the later parts, but I still think it holds up pretty well as a story even now, more than 25 years after it was written. The rivalry between Jonathan and Dio is one of the best parts of PB, and really the whole focus of it, Dio is a very charismatic villain and well written character, and while I admit he has his flaws, Jonathan is easily my favorite character from this part, I guess it just has something to do with his determination, he's a true hero. Other characters, specifically Zeppeli and Speedwagon are also pretty great. In the end everything comes together as a short, but interesting story that sets up the events of the later parts. Part 2, Battle Tendency, is pretty great, it's probably my third favorite part. I really like the whole story it had going with the respect between true warriors, and Cars' showing that he didn't have the true warrior's spirit in his battle with Lisa Lisa towards the end, just further shows how evil he was. As much as I like the cast from Phantom Blood, I thought that Battle Tendency's was much stronger, for one thing, Joseph is easily one of the best protagonists from any anime or manga I've seen, unlike a lot of battle series' protagonists, like Jonathan, instead of just punching or using some over powered weapon without much thought, he plans and thinks of how to beat them, most of his battles are much more battles of wits rather than of strength, for one thing he manages to beat the Cars after he had become the Ultimate Life Form and was essentially a god. Stroheim, Joseph's cyborg nazi ally is another great character, he's mostly played as more of a comedic character, but when it comes down to it, he probably helped Joseph more than any of his other allies. Caesar and Lisa Lisa, Joseph's other two allies are pretty good characters themselves, but not some of my favorites from the JoJo series. As for the villains, the Pillar Men, Cars works really well as a main villain, being incredibly powerful, and just downright evil. ACDC was okay, but he didn't do much. Wham on the other hand, was definitely one of my favorite characters in the entire part, possibly even the entire series, and definitely my favorite of the Pillar Men, his whole warriors' code and his respect for Caesar and Joseph as warriors was just great. The narration during his death about Joseph having a "bizarre friendship" with Wham is one of my favorite scenes. Overall, It's a pretty great adaption, it changed almost nothing from the manga, there were a few small things cut out here and there, but it's nearly perfect and incredibly accurate. This is actually what got me to go ahead and read the whole manga, sometime around when Phantom Blood episode 7 aired, and now it's become my favorite anime/manga series. Now, David, where is the Stardust Crusaders adaption!? |

Gundam Wing episodes 31-35.
Damn, Wing Gundam Zero gets around a lot. And the new Epyon Gundam scares me. Seriosuly, why do Gundams that want to Mind fuck you keep getting made? No one obviously is able to pilot them and with the mind messing properties, they could kill billions of people. I hear there was this thing in the original gundam series called new types which was some sort of mental powers, so maybe this a replacement for that? And no more Tallgiess, but at least we get to see more Zechs action. I plan on getting the MS Gundam movie trilogy on DVD, but then I realized i'm broke so I'm gonna have to wait for Christmas LOL |

Episode 6 of Clannad was considerably less confusing. Ms. Ibuki also can't see Fuko.
Episode 7 introduces the fact that Fuko is being forgotten. This beginning to feel like Zeronos's story. Also, where is the spirit robot? |
