NOOOO! OSGOOD!!! DAMN YOU MOFFAT! DAMN YOU AND YOUR STUPID DEATH-FETISH! *Realises everyone hates Osgood" ...Missy, right guys?
Anyway, now that I've partially calmed down, that was... mixed. Honestly, I just found it meh. Mostly because it seemed kind of silly, what with every grave coming back alive, but I'm just going to say that only most graves came back. Otherwise there wouldn't be enough metal for everyone. Logic concerns aside, this new Master makes me kind of off-putted, what with her almost ship-fic love of going "We're not so different." I almost expected him invite her into the TARDIS again... and I just remembered Moffat wrote Curse of Fatal Death, and with that ending everything makes sense. Anyway, Danny's final ending makes sense, even if I still don't know where the kid came from, and I'm going to miss him. He was good. He was the best Cyberman ever. Apart from Craig. Also, that's not The Brig as a Cyberman. I don't care what it is, but it's not the Brig. At least, that would not be a fitting end for him. And poor Doctor. Thinking you've found Gallifrey and it turns out The Master was being, as usual, a massive assweed. And poor Clara, being pregnant and all with no Danny. I honestly think she deserved a better send off than that. I don't know, but it just felt... not enough. Maybe after the Angel's Take Manhatten anything will feel small. Much better than that episode, though. ALso, did anyone else see the gag in the credits? Overall, this is probably my fourth favourite series finale, behing Parting of the Ways, Journey's End, and Doomsday. Actually, it's probably ties with Doomsday. I will try, later, to fix this into an actual coherent review, but right now my feelings are still pretty high, And crushed. So, next month, Santa Claus... Oh god why? |

Loved it. Absolutely loved it. Capaldi was great, Gomez was amazing (I really hope she's not dead - I want more Missy). The resolution paid off a lot of the stuff that's been set up over the season, mostly very effectively. I think the only real downside I have was the death of Osgood, who was a really fun character and had a lot of potential. Fingers crossed that this was just the Zygon. Still, we got Danny Pink dead out of it, so it balances.
The best part of the episode, though? The Cyber-Brigadier. Conceptually, it's a really goofy damn idea, but I will be damned if it didn't bring a tear to the eye. I'm sure he'll never appear again - and I really don't want him to - but I love the idea that he came back, one last time, to help the Doctor. |

Damn I did not expect that. Danny turned into a Cyberman but somehow retained his humanity, The doctor actually considered killing someone, and as usual we lost another great companion. I also wasn't expected Santa Claus to appear in the tardis. Loved this episode it was a good season finale.

Wait, is the season done already? What about the 13th episode?
If so, it was an awesome finale for what turned out to be an incredible season. I already like Capaldi better than Smith and they did an incredible job with Clara. Glad Danny is gone though as he was doing nothing but hindering the show. My favorite episode of the season is Listen, by my god these last two episodes have been the best they have done with the Cybermen since Season 2's finale. This season went by too fast but it sure as hell more than made up for the garbage seventh season. I can not wait for the Xmas special, especially with Nick Frost as Santa. That was unexpected at the end and awesome. |

I don't think so. More like the fact Deep Breath was nearly double the length of a normal episode and Death in Heaven was an hour long.
