I really hated it because it detracted from the otherwise nice fight against Belphemon.

Yeah, Kurosaki gets it pretty bad. From this to this...

It's pretty offputting and gross, and yeah, it really detracted from what could have been a solid episode.

Though even putting that aside. Ikuto's Ultimate Evolution episode isn't even slightly about him, like everything else it's more about Masaru than anyone. Fucking typical. This show has a really terminal case of the excessive-lead-focus.
