Inherent sexism in one show doesn't relate to the quality of another from an entirely different genre. I'd never defend such a thing. I wasn't saying you where just pointing out seeing that argument used to justify a bad show made me a bit wary of it.

Oh I totally understand that apprehension. I've seen that argument used before on some truly terrible stuff too.

Zyuranger has a special place in the hearts of all Sentai fans because it really did begin the whole idea of a 6th member of the team showing up later. What started in Zyuranger continued in:

Dairanger
OhRanger
Megaranger
Timeranger
Gaoranger
Hurricanger

Once Dekaranger aired, it increased the possibility of extra team members joining.

Dekaranger (like 9 or 10)
Magiranger (8)
Go-Onger (7)
Shinkenger (6 and an extra Red)
Kyoryuger (15 total different actors taking roles of Rangers)

Crazy that trend started with Zyuranger.

Yeah when people say "it was the way things were back then" to justify things like sexism or racism in a show I'm like "that doesn't make it acceptable!"it also only makes me more appreciative of guys like Tomino or Miyazaki who moved away from such bullshit in their works.

I love Shukuenshinobi's reviews as the next guy, but I don't always agree with him. He also didn't care for Jetman neither. I always have my own opinion. I mean like Twister and Temple of Doom despite that the Nostalgia Critic didn't like them. I like First Contact when Mr. Plinkett didn't seem to care for it that.

i agree with you i think RR gang just dont like 90s sentai ofr propbably any sentai pre-hesei

It also was one of the early notable works for suit actor Takaiwa Seiji, aka that dude who is almost every main Heisei Rider except for Kuuga and Hibiki. He was also Dragonranger though uncredited.
