Getting caught up on the Sony confrence and just saw the trailer for Horizon:

This game looks rather interesting, getting a Zoids and Monster Hunter vibe from this.

Everything Sony brought is an ANNOUNCEMENT. Is it in production or not, will it come out like they showed it, that's all questions that have yet to be answered. Things can still change and turn into vaporware.

There were just too many Peter Molyneux games that taught me never to believe in these announcements and promises made by developers

No I´m not. I just said that I became careful over years and years of getting hyped for games and then getting dissappointed.

Molyneux is just one example and not the only one who ever made a promis about a game that then never came to fruition.

yeah, but he's still an extreme part of the scale.
none of the games they announced were delivered anywhere NEAR the level of ANY Molyneux game. none whatsoever. they just announced them.

Of course hes the extreme. Thats why I used him as an example.

And I am talking about announcing games. I never said Last Guardian or Shenmue or even Fallout are going to turn out to be bad games and neither did I say they were going to be brilliant.

Just that I dont get excited for games that are just announced in name with a release date years away or games that only show a snippet of gameplay or none at all.

As I perhaps too. Reluctantly though, as that will cost me greatly in the long run with all these damn subscription models I hear about.

You don't really need the subscription to use PS4 though, it's only for multiplayer that you need PS+ for.

They give out free games every month, so the service pays for itself pretty quickly.
