I'm unsure, since, according to Wikipedia, the only series in the 90's were Spider-Man and it's sequel, Unlimited, and the only one in the 2000's were the MTV series and Spectacular.

The fact that you said that this was an entirely CGI Spider-Man cartoon makes me think that you want this one:
![]() http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spider-...nimated_Series However, given the timeframe and the description of the costume, I believe that you are talking about this one: ![]() http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spider-Man_Unlimited Of the Spider-Man cartoons that I have watched, Spider-Man: The New Animated Series is my least favorite. Neil Patrick Harris was not a good Spider-Man (although he did improve in Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions), some of the character designs were terrible, it introduced a very unnecessary love triangle, and it had a terrible ending.

The most under-rated and screwed over of Spider-Man shows in history.
I need to catch up with Ultimate Spider-Man... |

Unlimited was a fun series, I liked the new costume and the different stories they could tell with the new world.
Wasn't a fan of the Symbiote redesigns, though... And I know Ultimate receives so much hate for not being Spectacular Spider-Man 2, but I like it.

Ultimate Spider-Man is a fun show, and quite entertaining. It's no The Spectacular Spider-Man, but it never tried to be The Spectacular Spider-Man. What I'd like to see, though, is a Spider-Man show (animated or otherwise) that eventually takes him out of the education system and into the adult world, exploring all the issues Peter faced when he graduated and started a life of his own. |

The family style cut away gags and monologuing to the audience really kills a lot of the built up tension. |

Yeah, the Symbiotes did suffer in terms of design in Spider-Man Unlimited. But the greatest shame, though, was that it never got a proper ending in any form of media outside of a few unreleased scripts.

Ultimate isn't perfect, but I still have fun with it. Especially the Taskmaster episode (That was the episode that truly drew me in). And while I'd love to see that kind of Spider-Man series, it'd be unlikely to happen. Just too many barriers and hurdles to jump for it to happen.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the lack of an ending! That sucked.

But just imagine how amazing it would be if we got a live-action Spider-Man show that got a story like that in. Spider-Man: The New Animated Series was meant to tie in with the movie continuity (which it ultimately failed in doing). That's the only reason Peter isn't in high school. |
