I really liked Jade.

Jade's nature powers kind of were absorbed into Alan's new character too, as he draws power from the Earth, rather than a lantern.

that is not subtle dialogue at all.
like, Jean is just short of brow beating him to admit it.
especially considering Jean would probably be the most tactful in a situation as sensitive as coming out of the closet.

He's now Black, which unlike the TV show the rest of the Wests are not but that's not the problem. The problem is that they made him a troubled youth, and was originally at odds with Barry because he supports the Flash, and the Nu52 1st Reverse Flash (Thawne's coming back now, but he hasn't been seen since Thomas Wayne stabbed him back in Flashpoint) is Wally's uncle Danny. As a Black man, when you just alter a pre-existing character's race instead of making a fresh new one, it bothers me. It bothers me that we're treated as just a palette swap, like it's meant to calm down those who want a character with a background like their own. "There, Asterix is black now. Quit whining and keep reading".

Not sure how I feel about this costume. It could have been worse.

Also he's not the same age as Dick or Victor, so we don't get the chance of their awesome friendship happening here.
