To be fair, all of the past Doctors have regenerated, too. There is nothing stopping them from setting it during series one or early series two of Torchwood. Also, Tosh is dead, Gwen is not, as I recall.

Not sure how I feel about this. That was a character that worked once or twice, but I can easily see myself growing very tired of them following repeat exposure. Really will depend on the execution. Hopefully they'll give this episode to a good writer and not, say, the guy behind the moon egg episo... oh.

I actually didn't hate Kill the Moon, but I can very easily understand why many people did. I honestly feel that Forest of the Night was the only series 8 episode that was legitimately bad, and even that had some great Capaldi bits.
