One of these days I'm going to get the DLC characters for my 3DS version, I swear.

I do but all the DLC's on my Wii U version, not the 3DS one.
If I had time to get more eShop money I'd gladly get all 4 for my 3DS but this weekend I just don't have that time to spare. |

Makes sense. If I had to go with one or the other I'd go Wii U, luckily I was able to get those two for both.

Would anybody be interested in reading my idea of a potential moveset for Zero from Mega Man X in Smash?

Why yes, by all means! I did one for the red Maverick Hunter months back and I'm honestly interested in seeing what you have for Zero. I'm also quite giddy over how much you guys liked the Death Pool video I linked. I find it fascinating how characters' recoveries do on strange custom stages. EDIT: Here's the moveset I did Powerman. Quote:
Neutral A: The classic three hit combo from X4 and X5.
Dashing Attack: Shippuuga. Little to some knockback. Does one to three hits. Side tilt: Swings Z Saber with two hands horizontally. Down tilt: Crouching slash from X5. Up tilt: Swings Z Saber overhead. Side Smash: Charged Z Saber from Megaman Zero 1-4. Down Smash. Strong crouching attack from Tatsunoko vs. Capcom. Up Smash: Shoenzan from X6. Fire Damage. Neutral A Air:Kuuenzan. Spinning air attack Forward A Air: Default air attack from X4 and X5 Back A Air: Zero spins around and slashes behind him Up A Air: Swings Z Saber overhead in air. Down A Air: Sentsuizan. Falls down fast at an angle but does great damage. Specials: Normal B: Ensuizan. Can do this as long as there is shield but once shield is drained using this will put Zero in stun. Strong priority but little to no KO power. Custom Normal B 1: Three stage charge attack. Works like Wario's Down B. No charge: Purple torpedo charge with little damage. halfway charge: Yellow charge that works like mostly charged Super Scope shot. full charge: Two yellow charges and a weak Z Saber shot with each B button press. Custom Normal B 2: Time Stopper. Mid range attack that stuns. Cannot be absorbed but can be reflected. Up B: Ryuenjin. Fire Damage. Good recovery but only has killing power at start and end of move. During other times has sourspot hitbox. Custom Up B 1: Thunder Slash. Great recovery but not much KO power. Leaves electric trail from sword edge during move that does moderate damage but no knockback. Electric Damage. Custom Up B 2: Hyouryuushou. Awesome KO power but recovers like Little Mac's Up B. Ice damage. Down B: IN AIR: Hyouretsuzan. Decent falling speed. Does Ice damage. ON GROUND: Hyougetsujin. Ice wave that goes about 1/3 of Final Destination. Blocks projectiles but doesn't KO until around 300% Custom Down B 1:IN AIR: Enkoujin. Slow falling attack that does fire damage. When Zero hits the ground a fire pillar erupts from the platform the Z saber hits. ON GROUND: Fire Wave: Flamethrower that doesn't push characters as far as the Gust Bellows but does slight fire damage in return. Custom Down B 2: IN AIR: Rakukojin. Great KO power but bad endmove lag. When Zero hits the ground two Metal Anchors will go left and right that do weak slashing damage. ON GROUND: Guard Shell. Works like Palutena's Reflect special. Side B: ON GROUND: Raijingeki. Strong Electric stab with bad lag during move's end. IN AIR: Raikousen. Electric air dash that goes rather far. Can be easy to self KO without prior planning. Custom Side B 1: ON GROUND: Youdantotsu. Incredible launching power but is slow to both start and end. IN AIR.Hieijin. Homes in on closest enemy. Decent damage. Custom Side B 2: ON GROUND: Ice Javelin. Multi hit slashing ice projective that does moderate damage but doesn't really KO until higher damages. IN AIR: Ice Dash. Multi hitting ice attack that has some Super Armor. Final Smash: Tenshuoha. Shines a beam of light around Zero about 2 Marios wide. Does LOTS of damage with some knockback to it too. Ledge Attacks: Under 100: Quick hop with a slash at the end. 100 and over: Strong flipping slash attack ala Ike's Up B. Grabs: A: Punches. Up: Throws victim up and stabs them with Z Saber. Down: Just judo throws them down. No KO power but high damage. Forward: Overhead toss. Backwards: Elbows victim in stomach strongly.

So it took me awhile, but here's my moveset for Zero. I kinda made him a mix between Mega Man (In that many of his special moves from his source materials are regular moves) and Ryu (with inputs/gameplay style unique to him).
A: Z buster fire Dash attack: Uses Z Saber (Xtreme 1 and 2) Forward tilt: Z Buster firing while walking forwards Up tilt: Z-saber Down tilt: Sweep kick Tap forward twice: Zero does a dash. Longer range and faster then a dodge roll and faster then running, it is primarily used for comboing but ti can only be used on the ground and has a lot of stopping/end lag. Side Smash: Raijingeki (X4) Similar to Shulk’s F-smash. Up Smash: Z-Rod ( Zero 1). Tip does the most damage and knockback Down Smash: Z saber sweep: Similar to Marth’s Neutral Air: Kuunezan (X4) Goes around the entire character Forward Air: Z saber (X4 and on) Down Air: Saber Smash (Zero 3) Back Air: Recoil Rod (Zero 3) Up-B: Ryunejin (X4). Similar to Roy’s Up-B except a much higher vertical recovery and slightly horizontal but not optional inputs. Custom Up B 1: E-blade (X5). Weaker and, but can hit below and to the side of Zero. Custom Up-B 2: C-Sword (X5). Goes straight up Vertically and pushes enemies away. Side-B: F-Splasher (X5). Used for horizontal recovery. Custom 1 Side-B: Heinyaku (X4). Greater Horizontal recovery, but no damage. Down-B: Gokumonken (X7). A counter. Custom 1 Down-B: W-Shredder.(X5) Works similar to Greninja and Lucario’s Counters. Custom 2 Down-B: Twin Dream (X5). Replaces Zero with a shadow, and puts Zero a bit behind the shadow with the shadow doing the counter. Neutral B: Charge. It has three levels that can be used and can be used in conjunction with other specials. Releasing the B button with any charge and Zero will fire a charge shot. Using Up-B with a charge allows greater vertical recovery and damage but much more endlag. Same for Side-B. Down-B will allow for a stronger counter. Custom 1 Neutral B: Shield sweep (Zero 3). Goes in front of Zero and blocks projectiles and pushes foes back and can be used in conjunction with other specials. When used with Down B, it reverses the direction of the counter’s knockback. Custom 2 Neutral B: Zankourin (X7) Can be charged for a fast, ground based projectile but other specials cannot be used. Shield: Shield boomerang (Zero 1-3) Grab: Chain Rod (Zero 2) Similar to long reaching grabs like Link or Samus Z-air: Chain rod (Zero 2) Pummel: Punches Back Throw: Throws back using Z-Knuckle (Zero 4) Forward throw: Tenkuuha (X4) Up throw: Shoenzan (X6). Down Throw: Quake Blazer (X5) Final Smash: Ittouryoudan:Genmurei |
