Mako from Shinkenger was in the concert footage, which they blurred her face and they re-used scenes from several episodes:
Jayden calling the Claw Armor Megazord was from A Crack in the World The unmorphed fight footage was from Samurai Forever Some crowd shots for the concert were taken from He Ain't Heavy Metal, He's My Brother The Octoroo and Xandred shots were not from Shinkenger Returns and I can't figure out where they came from until I see the episode again. One Shinkenger episode that Xandred striking Octoroo came from I found earlier but now I lost the episode number.

Shinkenger Returns made more sense than Trickster Treat, and Shinkenger Returns had Takeru, Chiaki, Ryuunosuke, and Genta dress up as girls pretending to be boys, and Kotoha as a girl pretending to be a boy that had a crush on Mako who was actually a boy! |

Look. I know Samurai is basically Shinkenger with very minor changes and is otherwise a direct translation. But this episode was just plain lazy. It was almost completely stock footage, and even the stock footage looked godaweful. The acting went back in time to how bad season one was. Looked as though every actor just phoned it in from space. And the plot was... I can't think of a word to describe how bad the plot was for this episode.
Samurai is so horrible that I'm just going to finish the series by watching Shinkenger. |

Samurai is so horrible that I'm just going to finish the series by watching Shinkenger. Although I will admit, it is very distracting to see Gold Ranger rapidly gain and lose weight throughout a fight scene. |

Going back over the episode, I'm noticing a few things:
In the concert part, they did reuse all the footage from He Ain't Heavy Metal, He's My Brother. Also, they didn't just re-use it once, they used it TWICE. The second time, they took the same shot of the audience and mirrored the shot, hoping we wouldn't notice it was the same people. Also, the scene of them morphing was recycled footage from The Master Returns. Also, take note that because of the mixed footage from Samurai Forever and The Master Returns, their clothes are different when they're fighting and when they morph. The scene of Xandred and Octoroo came from The Bull Zord. Part of that scene was in Shinkenger 33 that was left out in The Bull Zord. Add another episode to that. The cockpit footage is from Kevin's Choice. This is hard to find since cockpit footage with all 6 rangers is hard to come by. After Super Samurai, it didn't happen again until Kevin's Choice. So now we're up to reused footage from: The Bull Zord - First Xandred scene He Ain't Heavy Metal, He's My Brother - Concert scenes Kevin's Choice - Cockpit scene The Master Returns - Morph and Xandred striking Octoroo A Crack in the World - Jayden calling Claw Armor Megazord Samurai Forever - Unmorphed fight Wow.

You should've watched Shinkenger to begin with. That said, I made that mistake to. I was lucky enough to realize it last year though.

Trying to go over the episode some more...
The Mako and Mia thing is just grating on my nerves. Just...why. I am thinking since they're playing up Mia singing....even though it was for a different reason in Shinkenger and Mako didn't even WANT to be a singer, this could be placed in between He Ain't Heavy Metal, He's My Brother and The Master Returns. Mia goes from tanned to pale to tanned and has a completely different facial structure? ![]() They re-used cockpit footage from Samurai Forever for this episode. Does that mean they're spoiling the finale for us? Also, this is more like Samurai Forever discussion since it'll come into play in December in the discussion thread, but Kevin's spin sword prop just looks....weird. ![]() Few more things I'm noticing, like the obvious wardrobe change in between shots because they mixed Samurai Forever and The Master Returns footage: ![]() Also, there are scenes of a Mega Red in the cockpit, which means they took footage for that cockpit scene from another episode that had to be from PRS, since footage of Mega Red, Blue and Green next to each other didn't happen in PRSS, I think, since most of the time, Jayden was Super or he was missing. Another oops they made was in the Octo Spear Megazord. The footage with Red, Blue and Green next to each other shouldn't occur since Gold is next to Red in that formation: ![]() Just some observations....lol.
