*Gaim will abandon the two-episode story format used by every Kamen Rider series since Den-O.

I honestly don't think there's anything wrong with that format if done well, but the show needs ongoing storylines to go alongside the two-episode monster plots. This is an era where a lot of the more recent series have really failed, especially Fourze and Wizard.

I'm getting Modoka vibes now. The fruit theme is a red herring. Having us thinking its going to be a light hearted show and then BAM we have a game changer and things turn dark quick.

People might want to dial back their hopes a little bit. the Producer for Gaim said the same about OOO being like an older Heisei show and it was just the Den-O - W formula.
Not saying they are lying or anything but its better to be surprised rather than have your hopes high and then crushed when they don't follow through with it D: EDIT: also with good old Toei if the changes cause toy sales to be low and ratings to go lower you know they will force the guy to go back to the formula ![]() Last edited by Goblez; 09-02-2013 at 09:22 PM.. |

Looking at the actual interview it mentions Zangetsu being like Ouja, well that can't turn out well for the other characters at all, now can it? It's also nice to get some idea of what the Riders will be like, but it's weird that he doesn't mention Gaim.
Also, the part that mentions Tomokazu Sugita(Kivat) helped him get the role was nice to know, especially that Urobutchi considers working on a Rider show a "dream come true". |

The Ouja-Zangetsu link makes me so hopeful. I'm really hoping we have another wild card rider like Asakura again, loved that guy.

I gotta say, I'm really liking what I see. Dropping the 2-episode format is a very good thing. My only hope is that it doesn't become entirely episodic then, but does indeed become more of a continuous story (or at least just have longer arcs).
