Even though it would've made them REALLY samey to the Wizard rings, they should've just made the locks face forward, with clear compound eyes that lit up when the lock is activated.

But because Wizard basically did that with rings, we're robbed of a truely awesome concept.

That and the smokey plastic behind for that cheap lighting gimmick. You're completely right, Splitter. Face forward, lighted compound eyes, would've made a world of difference. Only Ankh doesn't look off.
