I bought W after having picked up several later Figuarts, so I was bound to be mostly disappointed. The metal feet were the only feature that really impressed me. No Gaia Memories or hands to hold them? I also found the legs somewhat harder to pose than I'd have expected. Switching hands is, as you'd noted, a nightmare due to the tiny cuffs.
The way effects parts were spread out among the other forms struck me as really cynical. Although W wasn't my most impressive SHF, I still gave in and picked up the Heat set, only to find that of the two included effect parts, one was intended for yet another, different underaccessorized W figure. I just finished watching W for the first time a few months ago, and I really loved the series. Assuming they produce a renewal with some appropriate accessories, I expect it would be a must-purchase for me. Still, it was an excellent figure for its time, and this is a fun gallery. I'm envious of the billowing scarf from the Cyclone two-pack. Also, the hat! |
