I am a little curious as to how the parameters of these matchups are decided. Like, with Gaim the Pine and Ichigo Arms and even vehicles he got later on in his story like the Tulip Hopper were included, but Drive is being limited to his first three shift cars. Seems somewhat odd, since really Drive had access to the majority of the cars from the get go, even earlier than he had access to the sword and gun. I'm guessing it's a way of starting off Drive with a bit of a handicap? Since with the full range of tire koukans he simply has too much variety.

In any case, even with only the first three, I probably have to give it to Drive. Although I haven't seen Accel in action, what I'm reading here doesn't really sound like it could go against Drive effectively. With density shifts, the Tridoron's support, and the extra boosts he has from the weapons and the cars...Well, he's a main rider from a later series. It's only to be expected that he has more options. But yeah, Drive.

I already voted for Drive but I thought I should give my reasons on this.

Drive just has much better skills that allow him to outpace Accel such as midnight shadow clones, funky spike projectiles and max flare give him an edge on abilites especially since they can be applied to the tridoron which can be operated remotely and also take up the effects of the shift cars.

I would say Drive has the better projectile game, is quicker and has more support in combat while Accel is physically stronger and has stronger fire power.

As much as I like Accel's Chun-li kicks in Trial mode, Drive has a crew of toy cars to do his bidding so... Drive.

I ultimately decided to go with Accel. Drive at full power would take this easily, but with just his weapons and three Shift Cars (and without the ability to create a Slow Down that some people are claiming he has) I just don't see him taking this. In my opinoin, Accel is the better fighter and he'd come out on top.

I don't care about who wins and I'm not butthurt, I just find it incredibly insulting to all the work OOO put in this contest just so people fangirl over this and vote for the character they like better, that's not the reason why OOO is doing this.

If these unregistered people actually appeared here and told us their reasons on why they voted Accel (or Drive) it would be cool and we could have some great discussions (which I'm sure was what OOO had in mind when he came up with the contests in the first place) but at this point this is just a big farce.

So either we work out a way how we can control who votes (like only count registered votes), or we accept that the voting itself is useless and we only refer to the people who actually told us their reasons to who should win.

This, I kinda find it odd, how the posts here are mostly about Drive winning, and our reasoning's why, but the votes don't match up with the posts.

I do feel like Accel is only winning due to the popularity of W, and this is coming from a person that loves W.

That irritates me a bit too. If Drive is able to use Handle Sword and Door Gun he should also have his first two form changes and more tire koukans when we go by the show.

I think a good way to avoid problems like this should be to just have the riders use the powers/weapons they had during their very first appearance instead of cherry picking certain gear from the shows run.

Considering concerns from others, I have edited the poll to reflect on the users that actually voted with their user names showing. As such, the current number of votes is

Accel: 4
Drive: 22

And to reflect on ElConvoy's concern above, the next battle will have the Riders participating have their arsenal match to their current form for the fight.

Then what's the point of a poll? You make it public for anyone to vote in, then change the rules after everyone's voted to skew the results? What does it matter if they're unregistered, they're still people voting.

I was just trying to make things fair to those who voted and stated their reasons for voting. It does seem very odd that there was such a high spike of voters without their names showing, which puts the voters as two different possibilities: many people from different locations voting at once or someone refreshing and voting every single time.

The whole reason why it took so long for me to revive this thing was because I was trying to find a way to make it so it isn't just a popularity contest. Back then, everyone was voting simply on who they liked and not actually thinking of the possibilities of each rider, hence why I try to pinpoint things that they have that can counter one another in these threads. That's why Drive's limits are set as such, because everyone will immediately vote for him at his fullest power. It's also why I didn't include Trial and Booster for Accel, who could overwhelm Drive as he is right now.

There is literally no way to not do that, because I voted Accel and I still admitted he couldn't win.

These will always be popularity contests because it's not like Kamen Rider as stone-set rules and physics to it's universe. Nonsensical, illogical things happen constantly within their own shows.
