Fuga has finally returned to address the current problems, being responsible for a forbidden technique and assists Houtaro in his transformation using Chemy. And there's the usual KR trope of Houtaro continues to push forward despite not being fully healed, ignoring the pleas of others to take it easy.
Geryon made a deal with the Dark Sisters to betray others similar to Shiori, but Geryon's more successful and is the one in charge. It is also revealed that Kyoka formed a trio with Minato and Suzuya, making Minato's betrayal feel more personal to Kyoka, and back then she also had an usual caretaker/glue role between Minato and Suzuya. Quote:
A serious moment, but a little humiliating for Suzuya that he was easily killed by two swipes from a Rubik's Cube. Houtarou can take a lot more beating than that, likely due to him already being a high school jock. He has the body and determination to make Suzuya's dream a reality and Minato only needs to realize that he was right to believe in Houtarou's power to oppose Geryon. Like alchemy, such a resistance can only succeed when everything comes together.

Huh? But Geryon specifically said that he wouldn't erase Minato's memories, rather exploiting that memory of despair to break his will to resist. Anyway, I think it kind of explains Minato's betrayal. If anybody's going to attack his students, he believes it may as well be him, since he can exercise the restraint to ensure they survive. We can see this when Dread protects them from the Malgam. It's pathetic and halfhearted, but at least confirms that Minato is a good person deep down.
