Golion/Voltron immediately sprung to my mind. Thought about that as early as watching some of its episodes via Crunchyroll a couple of years back. Need to finish that at some point.

Gokaiger has a lot of overt One Piece references as well. Jetman and Gokaiger are the two biggest culprits for Super Sentai explicitly referencing anime or manga, I think. Mecha shows like Gundam or Voltron notwithstanding, since those will always have obvious similarities to Super Sentai.

And to the original question, I wouldn't mind seeing some Full Metal Panic! in a Super Sentai show. Take a hardcore military theme (maybe sort of like Ohranger) but balance it out with high school kids with crazy powers and a comedic tone. I was obsessed with all three seasons of FMP! (incl. Fumoffu) for like a full year, heh.

Can somebody explain to me, Why Zyuoh TheWorld is officially a Black Sentai Ranger?

Because trying to classify a ranger as "Multicolor" isn't a thing.

He isn't. Only Toei deem what's "official" and I haven't heard them say anything on the matter.

I think because it's default, "standard" form is the rhino, which is black. It'll be hard to say for sure until we see ZTW in action.

There wasn't interview with Zyuohger's Junko Komura or the producer to explain the influence of Zyuohger
