I think it's because I added you a few mins before you did me. Either way it told me 'Luffy is now registered as Mathew'

Also just got the second badge and I'm now exploring on route 10. Just saw a Hawlucha first time in game... definitely looks better in motion then in the leak screenshots.

No but supposedly they're in the Glittering Cave where you find the Fossils.

Just enjoy the game. There really are a lot of minutia when it comes to Pokémon, but just do it however you like for your first time.

Are you actually holding them in front of their faces and letting them munch on them or just dropping them there? I did the latter a couple of times before realizing you've literally got to feed it to them.
