There doesn't need to be a base. When claiming something is the "Best," arguments for why they are can be quickly countered. I think Sasuke and Jan are the best red rangers, but I've had people tell me Sasuke is lacking because he's immature and too lazy and rude for half the series, while some tell me Jan is really annoying and hard to see in a serious manner, which makes his story arc hard to take seriously.

What is the most surreal moment of Super Sentai or Kamen Rider
For me, It got to be Gokaiger have so many Sentai Legends return I mean I would never thought those Sentai Legends reprise their role at all! The original plan for Gokaiger was to focus more on Character Development of Gokaigers and Toei wanted Gaoranger to Goseiger to be main focus however because the earthquake happens. Toei scrapped the character development due of former Sentai actors wanted to be on Gokaiger to support the people who got injured. Which could explain of how the whole Friendship thing from Kamen Rider Fourze came about! Earthquake! |

It's not a case of "could" explain it, it DOES explain it. Fourze's writers have flat out said that it directly influenced the tone and themes of the show.

It's not really surreal. The former Sentai actors wanted to help keep children calm and boost morale in some way, so they did in the best way they could find.
Surreal would be Dairanger's ending ![]()

![]() Having several decades of past-sentai actors reprise their roles could absolutely be considered surreal. It's something that had never happened before, and something that no one ever thought possible until it actually happened. Up till that point, having that many actors reunite as their former characters was something only possible in a sentai fan's fever dream. It's not surrealism (see: Dairanger's ending), but it could be considered surreal for certain viewers/fans. |

I guess it's hard for me to see former actors returning since, prior to, Vs. movies were still common place, and about a decade earlier, Gaoranger vs Super Sentai brought 5 former actors back out of the blue to reprise their roles, including 77's Big One and and 88's Red Falcon.
I guess I'm just crazy~

I've come to accept that all Super Sentai shows happen in the same world (and mostly in the same Tokyo). The hard part for me to rationalize is why we don't get MORE cameos. Shouldn't the Kyouryuugers and Go-Busters notice that Japan is being taken over by evil train stations instead of just letting a team of literal children handle the problem? Nah, they only show up for one isolated event, showcased in a movie. Right.

Shared continuity is not a concern for Toei and the Sentai staff. BUT. If you must torture yourself with how they all fit into one cosmology (i.e., if you're like me ![]() This theory proposes that every Sentai series is set in its own unique universe, and in addition to those 40ish universes, there is a another -- the Versus Universe -- where all of the Sentai teams co-exist. That alternate universe is where every Versus movie, Gokaiger, and Ninninger take place. Not only does the Versus Universe Theory make sense of the movie crossovers (which are, by and large, never referenced in the TV series) -- it solves the continuity issues found in almost every Versus movie (i.e., how can X-Sentai be fighting X-Villain with X-Mecha when X-Villain was destroyed before X-Mecha was introduced). It also explains how the same actors can play different characters in different series (e.g., Kou's mom also being The Commander from Jetman). It's not a perfect solution, and it's not remotely official, but it's the best one we've got. Last edited by Kamen Rider Lucha; 05-03-2016 at 07:28 PM.. |

Which Zyuohger's mysteries are you interested the most? Birdman or Yamato's parents?
For me, it's both. I wanted to know why Bird Man hates Zyuland (His Home) and his real name. I'm also curious if Yamato didn't have a great relationship with his parents On episode 2, He told Tusk that when he was little kid. He met Bird Man after he ran away from his home due of having argument with his parents. I thought that one is not important but on episode 9, When Sela ask Yamato about his parents. He didn't responds to her and his uncle help him out so he doesn't have to answer her question. How does this happy-go-lucky Red Ranger have a bad relationship with his parents and what was the argument that made Yamato run away? Yamato is NOT first ranger to have a bad relationship with his parents. Tatsuya cut his connection with his father who wanted him to inherited the company but he rather be a normal person than a rich man. Yukito hates his father for not only take away his childhood away from him but he was the one who paid his girlfriend's parents to take away his girlfriend from him. No wonder why Yamato stay with his uncle than his parents! Sad kid |
