OH. I thought you were talking about his name. His costume is actually really cool. Definitely Captain America, but with a Sam Wilson twist.

it is interesting. I do like, in the cover pic you posted, how the wings almost look like they could curve around the shield. Sort of like expanding it, making it bigger.

The current Thor is Thor. Not She-Thor or Ms. Thor or Thor Girl or Thorette. She is Thor.

It's a matter of labeling. By calling her Thor and not one of those other names, it sends the message that this is the real Thor and not a spin-off or a placeholder.

But Thor is the name of Thor. It isn't his super hero codename, it is his actual name. You can't do that.

That would be like taking Lois Lane and calling her Zeus. Or naming Wolverine Peter Parker.

Well in this case, he relinquished his name and title to Jane and just became Odinson. Thor vol.4 issue #4. So it does have an explanation.

Even if he didnt it would still male sense. Thor is his name yes. But at the same time its the name of his persona as a god and a superhero. That same persona is bound to his hammer. And whoever is worthy to lift the hammer shall posess the power of Thor. And that includes the name.

Please no. Let Mar-Vell stay dead. He doesnt need to come back. Carol is a perfectly fine Captain Marvel and is whats associated with the name now.
