And I don't think they'll go into EU-territory with their figures soon, I think we see more of the movie-cast next and I'm fine with that. Because I expect a SHF Boba Fett to be among the next wave of announcements. |

Don't think that's the problem, I remember our dear Doctor being like "everything that isn’t in the movies doesn’t exist for me" so I believe it was more a "What's this insignificant character I never heard of?"-Who than a "Oh, who is this character, I want to know about him!"-Who. Just my two cents.

Because I expect a SHF Boba Fett to be among the next wave of announcements. and yeah, I feel like it'll even be a good long while before we even get Prequel stuff. I'm expecting Bespin Luke, Han and Boba Fett next...because EVERYONE these days needs to do a Bespin Luke...

If Vader with his bonus-stage is any indication, I think they might go straight to ROTJ-Luke and I would love to see that happen. I'm curious to see the facesculpt though, I only know Tamashii for sculpted helmets, not faces.

Well, it seemed like an "I don't know who this is tell me" who, but ok.

They did a pretty good job with Michael Jackson, so I'm to completely repulsed by the idea. Especially considering how hit-and-miss Hasbro has been over the years.

If they can bring Mark Hamill's best role to life, one of his others should be no problem ;D And I agree with Habsro, I don't think I have seen any Luke action-figure where I like the face. The same goes with Vader where many figures just don't get the "face" right, I'm glade Tamashii nailed it. |

Oh yeah, totally forgot about MJ. And there's the Injustice Joker too who looks pretty awesome.

Hot Toys aside, I've never really seen any sort of action figure that I thought did a good job of looking like any actor's face TBH. It's why I don't collect Star Wars/Marvel/DC/etc.

Well, to be fair, realistic faces that really capture a likeness are difficult to do. Sculpting itself is a hard task and requires skill and hard work to do, and just look how much detail a real human face has. With helmets and masks it's a little bit "simpler". Not that it isn’t hard work as well, but they are easier to work with and sometimes you get models from the source.
Hot Toys nails it a lot of times, but that reflects in the price. |

As much as I love the Vader, it's not perfect. There are issues with the belt boxes, the chestbox, and the bucket (based on what I can see in the pics) seems a bit off, though I can't tell for sure exactly why.
Nitpicky, sure, but that's what we do here. ![]() |
