I actually disliked First Class the more I watched it, it was like with each watch the cracks from the movies troubled production seemed to grow. I mean it's still a good movie, certainly better than Origins and The Wolverine, but I still don't think it's as good as the core three.

I love The Last Stand, the action is absolutely epic and the general plot is no more full of holes, contradictions and inconsistencies than the very X-Men concept itself. I dunno why people have such a problem with this film.

The plot isn't the problem because there isn't any plot. It is all action with Michael Bay Orgasions and they threw as many mutants into the movie as possible even if they did not even resemble their comic counterpart (like Omega Red and Psylocke).

Honestly I accept most criticisms of the franchise, even though I love it, but A who will not be named always rubs me the wrong way because it was basically entirely made up of every criticism of the X-Men Franchise and The Transformers franchise yet it got rave reviews. Fucking sheep.

I feel like a complete idiot because I don't know what "A who will not be named" is
![]() Anyway, a complaint with The Last Stand that I can completely understand is the naming. Kid Omega showing up and resembling nothing of his comic counterpart (With his powers being those of Quill's)? Psylocke's telekinesis and telepathy changed to being able to move from the shadows?...Arclight? With the ridiculous amounts of non-Wolverine characters in the X-Men franchise, this one appearance was likely their one chance to make an impact, and they were turned into either targets for Wolverine to kill to show how badass he is, targets for Jean to kill to show how strong she is, or targets for the military to kill to show how much business they mean.

At least I prefer them to Raimi's Spidey. |

I prefer the X-Men trilogy to Raimi's Spidey trilogy, too.
Granted, after sitting down and rewatching the entire Spidey trilogy, I'm actually quite offended at myself for actually liking that crap. I don't care how Pete is portrayed now. Amazing Spider-Man all the way.

I didn't even like the Raimi trilogy as a kid, I just watched them because it was freaking Spidey Amazing however I completely loved, the way Peter moves, talks and fights is flawless, and Emma Stone looks perfect as Gwen. Plus the lizard has always been my favorite Spider-man villain. |

I like the first Raimi movie, the second is not bad, and there is no third one.
However, right now, I liked TASM a whole lot better. Of course, if one of the sequels sucks, the entire movie series is ruined. BTW, Locke is talking about Michael Bay. |

A who will not be named is Avengers, as Matrix told me off for bringing it up in the past but it's my favourite example of a shit film powered by the hype machine. Suffering all the criticisms that people slap on much much better films, without bringing anything new or interesting to the table, yet still being raved about.
I LOVE the first Raimi Spidey film, I thought the second one sucked and the third one went great with popcorn. Amazing probably comes second place for me after Raimi's first go.
