I recently discovered that there was a very short-lived SIC line of figures for Sentai. Known as Ranger Strike Solid and based on artwork from the card game Ranger Strike, 6 small statues were released as blind boxes for a vol 1. There would never be a vol 2.
![]() In addition to these designs, there were metallic variants of each. I took a chance and ordered a blind box from ebay and luckily ended up with the one I actually wanted, Dekaranger Robo! (I also would have really loved Sun Vulcan). Anyway the figure was very sticky having been sealed in its bag since 2004. After a nice soapy scrub and a fresh coat of paint: ![]() It's a pretty awesome figure with lots of detail. There was some strange paint choices on the original figure. For example, light pink around the sirens to simulate a glow effect and a very strange choice in green for the Pat Trailer. This is the artwork its based on: ![]() The idea of an SIC Sentai line is fascinating and it's too bad we never got more of these figures. Imagine what a Gokaiger or Ryusoulger could look like in SIC form...
