It would be utterly hypocritical of me to call it stupid and I can't deny that I'm enjoying the hell out of the very obvious Shocker references, but it all feels so bizarre. Seven episodes of building up this very real and somewhat heartwarming world to suddenly throw it away by making a massive U-turn and turn it into a real henshin hero show. It might have been fine if there was some sort of build up to it, but we've gone from thugs and drug dealers to suicide bomber animal mutants. I really hope the show has some logical explanation for it all, but episode 8 didn't even feel like the same show. Time will tell if it was a good choice or not. |
