I want to believe the comics are canon, but it's likely to get overruled if the show says otherwise :S

Alright, this may be looking too much into things, but let's analyze that animatic. We see this dark stuff surround her when the moon rises, and look at her face when she's being surrounded by it. That makes a pretty strong case for the comics, in my opinion.

I hope it's true. It would keep the possible canonicity of the comics intact.

That and it's like making a sequel to The Exorcist in which Regan is possessed again and both of the priests that preformed the exorcism are somehow alive.

Besides, even without the comics, in the pilot and Luna Eclipsed it's shown Luna wouldn't want to return to her previous jealous-of-Celestia state of mind.

Or to be jealous of Twilight, since she has no reason to be.

EDIT: AGH! How could I forget?!? So at SDCC, the Hub had a booth where you could vote for your favorite pony (out of the Mane 6) So, my friend and I went, and he voted for Rarity, then I went, and I was like "Dang it! I can't choose!" but I did, and I think Matrix will be proud of my choice...



The way it worked was: You went to the booth, you voted, then the person would ask you who you voted for, you told them, then they gave you a pin corresponding with who you voted for.
