Zenkaiger might be a risky test for toei to retool super sentai in genral while keeping the same name and using anniversary as an excuse to get more eyeballs to be graps by initial shock, so they'll tune in. They failed trying to reboot gavan and kikaider. Now, sentai isn't in the best state compared to cheaper made animate toys sales. Likewise, 2021 saber is like ryusoulger if they had their village base. Zenkaiser looks like classic riders with one man carrying the show.

Long time ago. I saw something on the matter probably 10 years ago if not further back, but it was phrased more in the vein of "didn't like the direction tokusatsu was going in".

Alright, gold medal to whoever can figure out what the hinge at the bottom of the GearTlinger's front handle is for!
My best guess was to somehow enable connection to another weapon, but it looks like just the little red flap is on the hinge, which seems... pointless? I'm pretty sure batteries go in the rear handle (plus that hinge wouldn't make for a super safe battery compartment lid), so that's likely ruled out too

It's definitely something you flip down, but it doesn't seem to have a tactical purpose outside of maybe being able to hold that handle better, so my guess is

it's to help the toy balance when on display.

There's two red flaps, one on each side. You can see the bottom of the grip in the last image.

My guess is that it just extends the grip because promo photos show all the Zenkaisers using the gun and that grip might be too small for their robotified hands.
